A storyboard is basically planning out an animation. It looks a lot like a comic but instead of dialog bubbles there's notes on what's happening, directional arrows and what the characters are saying too. It helps organize a future animation before actually doing it because animating is hard work :'<
Here I have my own storyboard for my pep & pip animation. It was quickly done and a little messy but that's okay, it gets cleaned up in the finished product. I also did it like the story board above where it reads top to bottom. There's no talking but the words in blue are saying what's going on, and I have arrows showing movement. Each frame is a key part in my animation. I start it out with the machine which is my setting. Next my sad lil' characters enter and oh what's this they're holding? Plot devices?? Lemons?? Yes. My next scene shows Pep going up to the machine and after that Pip comes in while Pep is putting the plot dev- I mean lemons on the belt and they go into the machine. Out comes the lemonade and they start feeling better. The lesson if you haven't guessed it yet is when life gives you lemons you make lemonade :D |
